The massive redevelopment of the State Buildings in Perth has given us not only a wonderful place to spend a day but also one of the best locations for weddings.
The brand new Treasury office tower is visible from all over Perth as one of the tallest buildings in the state. The glass and steel tower rises out of the centre of the historic and recently refurbished brick and tile buildings. It is visible in the photo below as the tall tower on the right.
The redevelopment of the historic buildings included rebuilding important features in the original materials and technique. The City of Perth and WA has shown that it can care very deeply about the importance and integrity of heritage architecture.
From above in this photo I took from a helicopter, the tower is shown surrounded by the entire Treasury and Cathedral complex. The brand new City of Perth Library stands out due to its circular shape.
And speaking of the library, the brand new building designed by Kerry Hill Architects is arguably the most beautiful new building in the city. Its location next to what is also arguably the most beautiful heritage building in the city means that the possibilities for wedding photography here are just endless.
To go off topic, if you are a book worm then spending some time in this library is a must. You won't find a better place in Perth to read a book.
If you are planning a wedding then check out the Perth State buildings for ceremony, photos, and reception locations. And get in touch with us, we'd love to be a part of it.
