Choosing the Joondalup Resort wedding recommendations
The award-winning staff of Joondalup Resort has been recommending us to clients for a number of years now, so we were thrilled when their wedding co-ordinator Emma ask us to cover her own wedding. The realisation that Emma values our abilities and work ethic beyond customer referral was not lost on us. It was an honour, and a pleasure.
It was also a stunning realisation when we noticed the date of her wedding was 10 years after we took a now infamous photo at Joondalup Resort that went on to win the wedding category of the International Photography Awards.
The Groom
Like many grooms Justin is normally reserved in front of a camera. He knew how important good photography and video is to Emma and we helped him get comfortable working with us. With a face like that, it was easy!
The Bride
Angie Taylor of InStyle Hair & Makeup www.instylehairmakeup.com.au and Kelly Anne Makeup Artist made Emma's bridal party look absolutely perfect.
Emma could barely contain her excitement having coordinated hundreds of weddings, she was finally experiencing her own. With so many people involved, the ladies got dressed and took turns helping Emma prepare.
The Ceremony
The grounds at Joondalup Resort made a perfect backdrop for Emma and Justin while they were married by the wonderfully enthusiastic celebrant: Nina Guelfi.
The bridal party was comprised of a dozen people and Macho: a handsome Staffordshire Bullterrier posing as the ring-bearer.
Karen from My Pet Attendant www.mypetattendant.com looked after Macho the ring-bearer.
We took some lovely shots at the resort and even visited a nearby Pine Plantation.
It's all about the journey when you go somewhere in a Rolls Royce Reo Speedwagon by Belle Classic Limousines. www.belle.net.au These are stunning vehicles and the drivers' service was exceptionally good.
The Reception
Adam www.theperthweddingdj.com revved up the entire poolside marquee as he introduced the bridal party. He is a fantastic MC and really knows how to bring a good time. We always love working with Adam and I'm so glad Emma chose him for her reception.
The amazing and tasty wedding cake was made by Fiona www.thecakestudio.net.au to the exact specs Emma wanted. She was so happy with it!
The staff of Joondalup Resort joondalupresort.com.au thoughtfully surprised Emma and Justin with a dessert buffet and chocolate fountain. OMG if you can do this for your guests, you just have to! More than simply having sweets served, the dessert buffet and chocolate fountain is something to experience.
As the night progressed we took shots of various formalities (and informalities) before taking a few minutes outside for some creative photography. It's great what you can do with an illuminated fountain, a few sparklers and some inspired imagination.
