When Vasko and Samantha shared their story, it felt like deja-vu. I related to them right away.
I remember when I first met the love of my life at a gym in Scarborough. It took me six months of hard training and buffing-up, to summon the confidence to even say hello to Luna. We'd occasionally chat while training, until one day we had a drink in the cafe next door, then went out to dinner, dancing, the beach, a European holiday... naturally.
The journey of Vasko and Samantha also began at a gym...
Vasko didn't know that the girl he was secretly admiring had an eye on him too.
Training together, encouraging, inspiring...
...connecting
Of course there is more to love than merely working out with your favourite person...
There is coffee.
An Eiffel Tower memento is a reminder of where they were when he proposed marriage to her.
Dancing: the beautiful expression in movement to music
At the water's edge, the light was soft and warm.
Vasko didn't think twice about walking Samantha into the rough swells. The strong winds and white peaks could have made anyone shy about approaching the water, but both of them seemed to so easily get lost in each other's company.
Today I learnt that living life to the full requires consistently stepping outside the comfort zone; be it fitness training, summoning the courage to talk to an attractive stranger, or getting hit by seawater for an amazing photo.
This lifestyle photoshoot was the perfect opportunity for us to work with Vasko and Samantha in preparation for covering their upcoming wedding.
